My goal in therapy is to help you build a fuller, more meaningful life.
I aim to provide a supportive, warm and non-judgmental environment where you will feel heard, understood, and empowered to make changes that will improve your life and reduce your suffering- whatever the cause. I view our work together as a collaboration between experts: you are the expert in your lived experience, and I am an expert in evidence-based psychotherapies (i.e., treatments that work).
In therapy, I will help you identify your values and goals and help you build concrete skills for you to apply to your life. In individual therapy, I weave elements from Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and specialized treatments for trauma (Cognitive Processing Therapy; CPT and Written Exposure Therapy; WET) and insomnia (CBT for insomnia) together to address your unique needs.
In couples therapy, I primarily work from an Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy framework, with other skills from Cognitive Behavioral Couple Therapy woven in. Both of these treatments have empirical support: they've been found to improve couples' satisfaction with their relationship. I will focus on helping you and your partner work towards positive change in your relationship, as well as acceptance of the unique qualities or quirks each of you have. For example, we may work to improve your communication and intimacy and reduce conflict, depending on what is going in on in your relationship and what you both desire to change.

I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2024 and my BA in Behavioral Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 2014. I completed my predoctoral internship at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. I worked with couples at the VA for two years before my internship. I also trained at the Raimy Psychology Clinic and Brain Behavior Clinic at CU Boulder, Mental Health Partners in Boulder, and Boulder Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.
I have experience working with individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges and life transitions, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, insomnia, relationship difficulties, major medical conditions, grief and loss, substance use, and factors related to sexual orientation and gender identity. I have worked with couples with a wide range of backgrounds and challenges related to mental health, intimacy, communication, trust violations, life transitions, and challenges related to race, sexual orientation and gender identity.
I am a bisexual cisgender woman, and am passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition to maintaining my private practice, I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the Sexuality, Health, and Gender Lab at Rosalind Franklin University, where my research focuses on bisexual individuals' mental health and relationship wellbeing.
